Bookclub Review

It's that time of month again, NO, I'm not talking about THAT time of month. I mean it's time to post a bookclub review. LOL

My book this month is How Starbucks Saved My Life by Michael Gates Gill. Actually, I read this book on the recommendation of my sister, she had already read it and liked it alot. Michael Gates Gill is in his fifties when he loses his job, his marriage, and is diagnosed with a brain tumor. He goes from a six-figure salary and an Ivy League education to scrubbing toilets in Starbucks, and is glad to do it! He learns what it really means to respect another as well as humility and the value of hard work.

If you haven't already read this book, then I heartily recommend it. See you next month.

You don't give away much, but with sort of life reversal and drama to work with, you don't need to! Sounds really intriguing.

I think I need to read something like this to put some of my life back into perspective. I get mad at the world sometimes when I do not feel I can live up to life expectations of others, even on here...I feel I have to be perfect...

I've heard of this one! I think I'll read it right after The Last Lecture.

I really like the sounds of this book. I always enjoy a good read about overcoming adversity. And he certainly has a lot of that! Thank you!
