Dear Bigblock,

I know how you like to give orders, but do NOT stand in the doorway to the bedroom when I am trying to sleep and shout orders at me. At that moment I don't care who you want to do what, or anything else you want done. I am NOT one of your flunky's from work, and I don't have to follow your damn orders!

As you know, I have not been sleeping well for the better part of the last two years, and when you shout orders at me the only thing it accomplishes is to piss me off, and have steam rolling out my ears! Heed this warning, because I really don't think you want to face the consequences the next time if you don't!

Armed and Dangerous

Bigblock is out of town. Guess what happens EVERY time Bigblock is not available? I either have car trouble, household problems, or when Thing 1 and 2 were little there was always a medical emergency! What is the problem this time you ask?

Last night, or really this morning about 1 a.m., I am sitting on the couch relaxing and surfing the web. When all of a sudden I hear a loud noise coming from the sliding door in the dining room. I freeze. What is it? I'm thinking is it Thing 2 out there trying to scare me? Is someone trying to break in? That would be stupid, because they can see the lights still on and see me from the door. I don't have my phone because Thing 2 likes to think it's his property and took it to the neighbor's with him. So, I get off the couch and notice that the sliding door is not shut all the way and the lock is not engaged. I scramble to slam the door shut and push the lock home. When I look outside and see..........a damn RACCOON on the SIDE of the house. We live in a log sided home. That sucker is right below a flood light (I thought they didn't like lights!) and just inches from the door. And he just freezes and looks at me too. Oh shit, so I start banging on the glass door and tell him to shoo! He retreats off the deck. Ok, now I can breathe, breathe Wunderwoman...

Now I'm scared to go to the neighbors to get Thing 2 because we have a large yard and it's not well lit. So I'm freaking out. Where the hells the gun? Why does Bigblock have to hide it from me? Why did I never get anyone to show me how to fire a darn gun? I wait and calm down, then I race over to the neighbors and scare the beejeeses out of them! Ha! Thing 2 and neighbor boy come and check the house and surrounding yard out for me, coon is gone. Whew! But I've got my phone back! So I call Bigblock, yes it's almost 2 a.m. now but I don't care. He doesn't answer. Probably knows it's bad if I'm calling at that time. I leave a message! Call me back, where is the gun? Why did you have to take this stupid trip now??? I finally go to bed a little after 2 and sleep surprisingly well. go figure.

This morning I call my Brother #3 (Remember I have 4) and tell him, you have to teach me to shoot a gun! He agrees and off I go. I'm gonna need practice! In the meantime I have talked to Bigblock and I know where the gun is and will be ready tonight. Oh, and Thing 2 will be control of the weapon, because I really, really need practice. LOL

Now, I want to inform everyone that I did do research and it is legal to exterminate raccoons if they are doing damage. They will rip off shingles to get into your attic!! However, I also read that they hate the smell of ammonia, so I will also put some rags soaked in an ammonia solution out there tonight. But, if that doesn't take care of it, who wants coon stew? Please say a prayer for me and the coon!

Cookie Floozy

I was reading a friends blog today and she called herself a cookie floozy, and it hit me I am too! I love cookies!! Proof: today while out shopping I stopped at Subway and just bought cookies. Have you ever had their cookies? They are fabulous! I'm pretty picky about my cookies too. They have to be chewy I don't want them hard. Oh my gosh, that sounds bad doesn't it? Ok, wunderwoman get your mind out of the gutter, we're talking COOKIES here LOL! My favorites are white macadamia nut and frosted sugar cookies, but in a pinch any will do..Oh my gosh, I was just proofreading this and realized I typed "in a inch any will do" what is wrong with me today? ROFLMAO

What are you favorite cookies? where do you buy them? or do you bake them yourself? If you're not a cookie floozy please tell what your weakness is;)

New header

As you can see, I have a new header. I designed it at scrapblog, and it's not quite like I want, but I feel excited to finally get it on here. The pictures are not of good quality, and I will be working on it more.

In other news, it is raining here today. I really don't mind it, because I know sunny days are ahead. And the big news is I GET TO GO SEE MY GRANDCHILDREN!! Sorry for shouting but I am happy, can you tell LOL

How is your week going? Please pray for Emily. She just delivered a beautiful baby girl after losing her husband earlier this year. What a courageous woman!

No Name Post (because I couldn't think of one)

As you can see I am trying to update my blog. So tired of the old. Hopefully while I am out of school for TWO whole weeks I can get it finished! If anyone knows of someone willing to teach me to use paint shop pro for making headers, please send them my way, or leave info here for me to get ahold of them. I don't have alot of time when I return back to school, so can't join a group right now:(

Now I need your opinion. I ran into a woman that I used to work with. She is going to school also, albeit not the one I attend. I was meeting a guy that went to school with me, I loaned him materials to study for an upcoming licensure exam. Before he arrived she asked if I was sure I wanted to loan out my materials, because she had previously and had a difficult time getting hers returned. I stated that I trusted him and didn't have a problem. Well then, in walks my guy friend. Goodness, I thought my woman friend was going to slip to the floor when she saw him. He is good looking (think Patrick Swayze before he got sick). After she had seen him, she changed her tune all together, wonder why? LOL

For some background on her, and why I need your opinion. She formerly worked with me as I stated above. She was married and had small children when I first met her. She had been having an affair with a co-worker for probably 5 to 6 years before I met her now it's been going on for probably 19+ years. This continued for alooooong time, the co-worker and her eventually broke up and she stayed married, but later started the affair back up again, if it ever ended. Oh, and the co-worker she is fooling around with is approximately 20 years her senior, and every time I see him I go ewwwww gag barf ewwwww! I may be wrong, but I think the main attraction there was that he had won the lottery to the tune of $100,000. So, eventually she divorces husband. Goes on cruises with boyfriend, tells his daughter not to look forward to inheritance cause there won't be one, she's helping him spend his money. She still has boyfriend, but now he spends the winter in the sunny south while she goes to school here. Oh, and said ex-husband kills self by drinking antifreeze.

After seeing my schoolmate she tells me that boyfriend and her will eventually break up, as she wants someone more her age (I wonder is he running out of money?) She wants to know all about guy friend. Guy friend wants to know her history. I don't want to say anything bad about her, but she is the kind I wouldn't turn my back on. She is an IT (it's all about me, me, me) girl. He has children (he has custody), she doesn't want the hassle, and let's face it, ex-husband raised hers while she was with boyfriend. She is the kind of woman that if you can be of use to her, she is good with that, if not she doesn't know you exist. I'm sure we all know one?

How would you handle this? And what do you think of this kind of woman? Tell me your experiences.

Bookclub Review

It's that time of month again, NO, I'm not talking about THAT time of month. I mean it's time to post a bookclub review. LOL

My book this month is How Starbucks Saved My Life by Michael Gates Gill. Actually, I read this book on the recommendation of my sister, she had already read it and liked it alot. Michael Gates Gill is in his fifties when he loses his job, his marriage, and is diagnosed with a brain tumor. He goes from a six-figure salary and an Ivy League education to scrubbing toilets in Starbucks, and is glad to do it! He learns what it really means to respect another as well as humility and the value of hard work.

If you haven't already read this book, then I heartily recommend it. See you next month.
