I'M BAD

Before I start, I want to tell everyone I didn't do this deliberately. And please don't do as I've done (not done) whatever....

Now, for what I've done, might be better to say what I HAVEN'T done. I came home from doing a little shopping today and as usual Thing 2 was on the computer. He asked what all I brought home and I told him, then I said, "I brought something special! I brought home DILLY BARS!!!" Thing 2 says what is a "dilly bar?" Oh my goodness, can you believe I've let him get grown on me and never fed him a dilly bar? That is just unAmerican!!

So he goes and gets them out of the freezer, then wants to know why they are different colors! I've ruined my son's life!! I had them put together a mixed box for me, can you believe they don't have them already packaged? I got 3 chocolate, 2 butterscotch, and 1 cherry. Can you remember eating these as a kid? I can and isn't it just amazing that it takes you right back to feeling like a kid when you eat something from that era?

So what have you been delinquent in sharing with your kids that you used to eat as a child?

I think there are probably a lot of things but nothing comes to mind. Isn't that always the way. *sigh*

Ohhhhhhh eat one for me please! I always liked dipped cones, and have a funny story involving my husband and I going through a Dairy Queen drive-thru and told him to order me a dipped cone, he said "what flavor" I just started laughing, but I only grew up with vanilla, up in the NE they have different flavors, so it was not as funny as I thought...

Oh, I haven't thought about dilly bars in years. Do they still have those? Wow.

Oh my gosh. I've not thought about a dilly bar in SO long. Thanks for flinging that cravin' on me.

I'm in freakin' Denver and it's snowing!

Thanks for your comments on my baby boy's birthday post!

Like E, I only grew up with vanilla too. Must be a Southern thing! But, yes, LOVED them! Still do for that matter.

I'm like your child. I was deprived of dilly bars as a child.
